While the golden lion tamarin is still “endangered” it was reduced from the “critically endangered” level. Nearly 30 years of conservation efforts have proved helpful in growing the tamarin population. Efforts continue, including population management and reforestation. Here’s hoping this will further lower the threat level for these little guys!
