This is my youngest son’s new best friend Lucy. We found her in a shelter where she had been dropped off with her 7 puppies. She is less than a year old and had been bred already and dumped. Two rescue groups came for the puppies and Lucy was left behind which clearly did not sit well with me. There are far too many sad stories like hers and far too many animals around the world abandoned and some even stolen. In Indonesia every day, thousands of dogs, most of them stolen pets, are slaughtered for their meat and put on a dinner plate. It’s heartbreaking.
