#AndyWarhol began making images of #MarilynMonroe after she died in 1962. By duplicating a widely circulated photograph, he presented Monroe as an infinitely reproducible image. Screenprinting was well suited to his process, enabling him to repeat images in various media and colors. See this work on view in "Design in Revolution: A 1960s Odyssey" through September 9.
