But it is a different story in the burgeoning economies often found in Asia and Africa, where people live on and co-exist with their culture’s plastic trash. Mismanaged plastic trash clutters the landscape so severely that some 40 nations, including Kenya, have passed strict laws banning or taxing the use of plastic bags.
