Vogue Australia’s senior fashion editor Kate Darvill is known for her calm demeanour and fierce organisational skills honed after more than 15 years in the industry. Joining the Vogue team a little over three years ago while mum to twins Matilda and Jack, now aged four, she has since had a second set of twins – Stella and Olive, aged two – and last year announced she was expecting her fifth child, due next month. “I think my kids teach me to be a better person. You grow up a certain way and it’s only through trying to be a good role model to your children that you self-reflect and then try to be a better improved you – to be the person you want your kids to grow into,” Darvill writes in the May issue, on sale now. “Like any family though, we have our fair share of tantrums and squabbling, and everything has to be done, times four, which is testing and frustrating at times.
