Giraffe’s neck | Cuello de jirafa #nicanorgarcia #travelarchitectures Built and inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century, the Santa Justa Elevator is a metal structure designed by Raoul Mesnier de Ponsard applying some of the techniques already used in France by Gustave Eiffel. Although it has lost its original use as an elevator, with its 45 meters of height it still serves as a tourist lookout over the center of Lisbon.
