#tbt We started our day, today, by yelling at each other. Her wanting me to fix her toast, and my insistence that she is capable of fixing toast on her own. I have all of this desire for her to be an independent thinker and an independent doer, someone who doesn’t expect for things to be done for her, but rather, goes and does for herself. And then I think back to just a few years ago, and realize how quickly time is passing.
