The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William head home with their newborn son after Kate gave birth at the Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital in #London on Monday. The baby boy is the third child for the couple and fifth in line to the British throne.

The news of the birth was announced about five hours after the 36-year-old duchess and her husband traveled by car from their Kensington Palace home to the hospital.

The palace said the baby prince was born at 11:01 a.m. and weighed in at eight pounds, seven ounces.
