This last Sunday morning after it had been raining all night with intense thunder and lightning, I decided to go for a drive and show my son Tobias the waterfalls. I knew it was a crazy storm but it didn’t sink in, quite yet, how intense this storm really was.
Here in Kauai we had a 100 year storm receiving an insane amount of rain (over 27inches in 24hours) causing floods, landslides and tons of damage to the homes, businesses and roads and much more of the North shore.
I know many of us are feeling overwhelmed but we also are thankful no human lives have been lost during this time. Though we lost some of the Hanalei buffalo herd!

The community is coming together beautifully to restore this precious place we all love! The military is also helping out!
