Thanks, Feathered Friends, for the platform here, and for the years now of downy-soft support. I am a full-time, year-round mountain guide. Each year and season is a little different, but the general rhythm is consistent. Winter is for skiing and ice climbing, mainly in Wyoming’s Tetons and in Canada’s “Mountain Parks”. Winter 2017/18 was no exception. In the three months of “calendar winter” I skied in the backcountry 52 days and was ice or alpine climbing for 7 days. Most of that was for work.
