We have been trumpeting the #MusicModernizationAct a lot lately, and for good reason. Introduced by the House Judiciary Committee Chairman @BobGoodlatte, Ranking Member Jerry Nadler, and 29 additional members of the House of Representatives, the bill brings music legislation into the 21st century and harmonizes the #music industry with ONE comprehensive piece of legislation, a position advocated by the #RecordingAcademy since 2014!

A victory for ALL music creators, the bill went to the House Judiciary Committee for markup, where it passed unanimously with a vote of 32–0 following review. From here, it will proceed to the full House for a vote in the near future, and then attention turns to the #Senate who will be tasked with considering similar, comprehensive reforms.
