Nomads of the Ennedi Desert in Chad, offering our team some camel milk during our journey to explore the unique climbing potential. We drove for 4 days following GPS coordinates across untracked desert with water only once in a hundred miles. At first they seemed like a mirage emerging from the vast expanse, none of us could fathom where they came from or how they could survive such a journey. When we finally met, we gave them some bread from our supplies and they kindly returned the favor offering up some milk. As we drove away back into the flat void, we were left in awe of their generosity and strength.
