人口の96.5％が「家に電気がない状態」のルワンダ、カモニー地区。多くの家族が農業の仕事に頼り、子どもたちは、夜明け前や放課後も親の仕事を手伝わなくてはいけません。今年2月、アーティストのOlafur Eliasson氏が立ち上げたLittle Sun Foundationによって初めて電気が来ることに。写真にうつる子どもの首にかかっているかわいい「フラワー型太陽ライト?」が5つの学校にのべ3500個を配布されました。
In Rwanda, more than 96% of the population doesn’t have electricity. Most of the families are dependant on their agricultural business, and the lack of electricity makes it very hard to live. Children have to help their parents working after school before the sun goes down. This february, the artist Olafur Eliasson started Little Sun Foundation, which provided 3500 of these flower-like lights to children, helping them a lot in their everyday-life. ?@TABI LABO【公式】
