Not one of our Young Animal books, but I wanted to share this amazing comic with you all. X-Men: Grand Design, published by Marvel Comics (yes I like both DC and Marvel). The book is done by Ed Piskor, who is also known for his work on the New York Times Best Seller Hip Hop Family Tree (another amazing series you should all check out), published by Fantagraphics. Ed is one of my favorite comic creators, arists, writers, colorists currently working today. And this book looks nothing short of incredible. It looks like Marvel gave Ed free rein to make something special, and I love when publishers really take a risk with something different. And I am jealous that this book is presented in Treasury-Sized Edition because I was hoping to do the same thing at Young Animal. Great great book you should check out, and I grew up reading X-Men so I’m super excited to dive into this.
