2018年、初代モデルDW-5000Cの発売から35年の時を経て、「外装の進化」「構造の進化」「モジュールの進化」をコンセプトに、フルメタル化を実現したGMW- B5000Dが登場。機能面では正確な時刻精度を追求し、Bluetooth®通信機能と、世界6局の標準電波に対応するマルチバンド6を搭載。専用アプリケーションG-SHOCK Connectedとの連携により、インターネット上のタイムサーバーから正確な時刻情報を取得します。

In 2018, 35 years after the first launch the DW-5000C model, the model now integrates concepts such as the "evolution of exterior," "evolution of structure," and "evolution of module" in a full-metal exterior model, the GMW-B5000D. To improve time accuracy, GMW-B5000D includes a Bluetooth communication function, as well as a MULTIBAND 6 that connects the watch to the six standard stations of the world. This model can also be synced to the "G-SHOCK Connected" app in order to keep accurate time with internet time servers.
