Art and creativity are at the core of who I am and what I do -- and I credit a lot of this to what I learned in school. It’s no surprise that arts education has a significant impact on children beyond just self-expression, an impact they carry with them into adulthood. Today, I visited a 6th grade art class at a NYC public school where I spoke with students about the importance of arts in education and dropped off art kits with @lifewtr . They’ve announced a commitment to reach one million students nationwide in the next year through curated curriculum, distribution of art supplies and local partnerships to champion arts in education.
