All smiles with this week’s #FeaturedPhotographer, #GoProAthlete @johannedefay. ??? • Photo 1: Surfing in #Oahu, Hawaii after a coffee with the #GoPro team! For this photo, I wanted to show you guys how I hold The Handler while #surfing. To set things up, I used a Surfboard Mount to attach a GoPro to the nose of my board and shot in 0.5-second Time Lapse Mode. Swipe left to see a shot from the handheld perspective! • Photo 2: Sunset session in #Pupukea! When surfing, I think it's easier to snag a photo with your front arm because you need your back arm to direct yourself on the wave. Captured in 0.5-second Time Lapse Mode. • Photo 3: My really good friends call me the selfie queen... I don't really know if it's a compliment ;) but I do know that it's why I love GoPro! It is so easy to get a cool shot and capture the ambiance around you. This #selfie was at a little secret spot on Réunion Island. When the surf is dead flat, which doesn't happen often, this spot turns into a perfect jump rock! It is beautiful! Captured using Burst Mode 10/3. • Photo 4: For these #skate shots, my boyfriend and I worked to create a custom mount for our GoPro. I knew the angle that I wanted, but am not very crafty. Simon found a way to attach an iron bar under my skateboard and we mounted the GoPro to it. We were so stoked that it worked out! Captured in 0.5-second Time Lapse Mode. • Photo 5: Simon and I on the top of La Roche Verre Bouteille! This is a special place where you can see the Cirque de Mafate, an incredible caldera on Réunion Island. The #hike is one of my favorite things to do when I'm back home! It takes about an hour and a half, but isn't too difficult. Getting away from the ocean and into a different environment helps me refresh for the next big comp. Shot in 0.5-second Time Lapse Mode.
