We love Viviane Sassen because she is a brave and fearless artist. She has traveled all over the world documenting new ways of looking at people and places. She is singular artist known for breaking all the rules. Her art is about contradiction and surprise and her relation to her subjects is intimate and revealing. "I prefer the uncertainties you face," she says. "You come across things you can use or be inspired by that you would never have thought of before. In the same way, I prefer not to plan...
