Photo by @AdventureMilo: Not monks but nuns. These 9 year old girls are the nuns of Thamo Monastery in the Khumbu Region just off the path to Everest Base Camp. Many are the daughters of families who literally lost everything in the 2015 Earthquake, brought here so they have a life with shelter and food. Though far away from their parents, the girls were extremely happy and playful, and appeared purposeful in their actions.
