You have to be tough to make it in the wild kingdom, an injury like this can mean death to the animal if the infection spreads and/or it hinders movement and the ability to hunt. I took this photo yesterday morning in #RockyMountainNationalPark, it was -3 Fahrenheit, a very cold morning to say the least. An exposed wound like this is highly susceptible to frostbite, hoping this little guy here makes it.
