Around this time last year I got to see Yosemite's famous Firefall for the first time. I really didn't have high expectations, but I was blown away with how colorful and spectacular it was. Unfortunately this year, there is no water flowing over the cliff as Yosemite and the rest of California have received very little snow and precipitation. If you are planning to go witness these falls over the next few days, be aware of the new permit process that the park just created for viewing the sunset spectacle.
