While on assignment at Lake Bogoria in Kenya, Africa, I was photographing the Lesser Flamingos as part of my “Day to Night”, Bird Migration story for National Geographic. Shooting from a helicopter allowed me to see these majestic pink birds from above as they fly over the water. Many of my aerial images will be on exhibit with the “Day to Night” series on Bird Migration at the National Geographic Museum , opening February 13, 2018.
