BB update.

She recently had another set-back in her behavior issues. For those not familiar, BB is deaf, has OCD and other issues that manifested from it.

I used to get very discouraged anytime she had her relapses, but now I have accepted that BB is probably going to continue to take steps forward then take a step back in between. I feel like all the training I have done with Jazzy, and the experiences I had with all my foster Border Collies are now helping BB. BB is the second most challenging dog I have ever lived with (And I have had lots of challenging dogs). When we got BB, I used to ask why I couldn’t just have a dog like Jazzy. My husband reminded me Jazzy didn’t start out as the perfect dog I remember—she was fearful and very challenging when she was young. By getting through the obstacles together, Jazzy and I built an unbreakable bond over the years and she became the “perfectly imperfect dog” for me. I am hopeful something similar can happen to BB and me in the future.

We are going to keep taking a big breath and another step forward. ? ? #BBsteps
