かつては境内にも多数設置されておりましたが、
最近は街中でもあまり見かけなくなったものに電話ボックスがあります。
現在当社では祈祷殿の西側に一台が残るのみとなりました。

地域ごとの特色を生かしたご当地公衆電話のひとつとして、昭和62年2月26日にＮＴＴによって設置されました。
住吉造本殿の屋根を模しており、隠れた名所の一つとなっています。（笑）

Enjoy the nostalgic atomosphere of Sumiyoshi Taisha

Phonebooths - once seen in numerous places around the city and on the shrine grounds are slowly disappearing from our everyday lives. However, one still remains at Sumiyoshi Taisha and can be found at the west side of the prayer room.
This phone was installed by NTT on Feburay 26th, 1987 and has been keeping the unique characteristics of the area alive since.
