"When I visited LACMA last summer, I was initially a little lost and ended up at "Urban Light." I remember feeling immediately calmed underneath the familiarity of lampposts, even though the sculpture and room was crowded.⠀

There were so many different kinds of people gathering together in groups, immersing themselves in the space. "Urban Light" drew everyone in, serving as the community watering hole or unofficial city center of LA.
