Dear American Veterinary Medical Association @avmavets , your JAVMA veterinary "leaders” knew this vet had done over 2000 declaw procedures by chopping off part of the cat's toe bone with a Rescoe guillotine clipper and burning out the remaining nail bed with a super heated metal tool and that he wasn't giving the cats ANY pain meds. ??????
They knew that he was calling it painless and advertising it as a painless procedure. (His website that promoted his "Painless Cat Declawing Procedure" was just taken down.)
Did you tell this vet to take it down because it could be considered false and deceptive advertising?
JAVMA edited his Letter to the Editor and took out that important information and published his letter in your prestigious JAVMA journal.
What in the world is wrong with you? ?
Do you just care about putting the welfare of your declawing veterinarian's pocketbooks over the welfare of cats????????
