→ The works the two of us are currently making may look, in the conventional context of contemporary art, silly, frivolous, and banal. But from here on out, in the future, the thoughts and concepts these seemingly superficial objects are clad in are bound to weave history.
Virgil and I are playing a catch ball of ideas 24/7 over a WhatsApp group, each of our designers, managers, and translators incessantly crowding in to figure out the logistics, creating and exchanging mockups, and more. Everything is proceeding at a breakneck speed.
It’s so much fun.
It’s really, incredibly fun!
And this is freedom. I can unequivocally say we are smack-dab in the middle of an artistic experience.
Gagosian London’s Davies Street venue is small and we won’t be able to present too many works, but if you could see the exhibition, I just know that you, too, will feel the fresh wind of freedom.
