Hundreds of embroidered eyes cover a tulle dress in the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2018 collection. Inspired by the Surrealists, our Artistic Director #MariaGraziaChiuri looked to the work of Magritte in particular for this dress. The Belgian artists regarded eyes as very symbolic, employing them frequently in his paintings, and here an effect that could be unsettling is transformed into something exquisite and gorgeous thanks to the stupendous savoir-faire we have at our disposal.⠀
