Ever before becoming a couturier, Monsieur Dior owned an art gallery in Paris and, following his instinct and breaking with the convention of the time, one of the artists whose work he showed was a woman named Leonor Fini. For the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2018 collection, #MariaGraziaChiuri embraced the artist's character and work, taking her statement ''Only the inevitable theatricality of my life interest me'' as carte blanche to design a collection that mixed reality and fantasy, feminine and masculine.
