@horitomo_stateofgrace This is a business card I used 15 years ago when I was an apprentice in Yokohama. The Japanese writing identifies a very specific relationship with Horiyoshi III as well as his studio address. In 2007, I moved to America and was no longer an apprentice.
Recently, someone was selling one of these cards online, and seeing this card now could be misinterpreted by some Japanese people as being current.
I do not want this to cause confusion or inconvenience for Horiyoshi III and would prefer that these cards were not sold or posted online.
At the time of this business card, I was writing “Tomo” in hiragana. This was the written form of the title I received from Horiyoshi III.
Three years ago I began writing “Tomo” in kanji.

この名刺は私が15年程前に使用していたものであり、三代目彫よし先生の弟子だった頃の名刺です。
それには「三代目彫よし内」と横浜の住所が記載されておりますが既に私は先生の弟子ではなく、2007年よりアメリカに移住しております。
最近、第三者がこの名刺をインターネット上で販売しておりました。その投稿を見た日本人は今現在の名刺と勘違いすることもあります。このような行為は三代目彫よし先生に大変なご迷惑をお掛けすることになりますので今後インターネット等で過去の名刺を掲載、販売することをお控えいただきますようお願い致します。
又この名刺に記された「彫とも」はお世話になった三代目彫よし先生から頂いた名前ですが、3年程前から平仮名の「とも」を漢字の「巴」に既に変更しております。
