Visited a beautiful exhibition "Hokusai and Japonisme" at the National Museum of Western Art.
It is amazing to see the influence that Hokusai gave to some great Western artists, including Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, etc.. And we had lots of influence of Western culture after we opened the country to the world in 1854. Thanks to that occurrence, I am passionate about the Western classical music and art. I am simply grateful to be able to live in this century.

. 『北斎とジャポニズム展』を観てきました。

北斎の絵をこれだけまとめて観たのは初めて、それらが西洋美術に与えた影響がこんなに大きかったということを知り、「蛙に驚く絵師」のように、腰が抜けそうになりました（笑）。また日本が開国して北斎や他の日本美術が西洋人を驚かせ、西洋文化もまた日本人に感銘を与えたという今となっては当たり前の歴史が、やはり凄い事件であったこと、そのお陰で自分は西洋音楽に携わっていて、ヨーロッパで学び、住み、演奏させていただけるという境遇にあることを改めて思い、感謝の気持ちを新たにしました。
