Our own @RayPolancoJr details how this was originally going to be the first colorway of the Off-White Air Jordan 1: "Virgil recalled the moment when he noticed a pair of white Nike Dunks being worn in the airport and immediately realized no one would be able to tell the difference between that and his collab. Additionally, the Off-White designer admitted he was further influenced to change the colorway because the comment section on HYPEBEAST would roast him and declare his design career over if he made Michael Jordan’s iconic silhouette look like a regular Nike Dunk. The change from 'White' to the traditional 'Chicago' colorway was submitted in the final stages of the entire process and nearly missed the cutoff." #NiceKicks ?@highsnobiety
