As the centrepiece of the Transport exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum, the indicator board, which stood for 76 years on the huge assembly platform of Sydney's Central Station, recalls the halcyon days of the NSW railways.⠀

It is of particular sentimental value to hundreds and thousands of New South Wales residents and visitors and was a popular meeting spot especially during the First and Second World Wars.⠀

It was replaced by television monitors in 1982 and restored for display in the Museum in 1988.⠀
