"At 7:00 PM the night before, we made last minute plans to wake up on a Wednesday morning to try and catch a sunrise before pushing through the rest of the week. We were both so caught up in work that it was time to be rejuvenated. We arrived at the viewpoint with time to spare before the sun peaked over the local mountains, and began to cast a rich warm light over the top layer of the fog. My house was immersed in the gloomy clouds below along with many others, but we stood in the sun with only a few fellow hikers. There is a particular kind of silence when everyone is captivated and hushed by the same source of beauty. It was hard to leave the view point that morning."
