?? Aujourd’hui c’est l’#Epiphanie ! Ce tableau intitulé « L'Adoration des mages » a été peint entre 1715 et 1717 par Charles de La Fosse pour le décor du chœur de la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Cette représentation de l’épisode biblique est magnifiée par de riches couleurs et de nombreux détails, telle l’étoile brillante juste au-dessus de l'enfant Jésus ou les motifs des étoffes. Seeing as today is the #Epiphany we want to share this painting “The Adoration of the Magi” by Charles de La Fosse!  It was painted between 1715 and 1717 to decorate the choir of the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. It is a beautiful depiction of the scene, rich in colour with a rather beautiful star shining above Jesus as the Kings deliver their gifts one by one. Do you know about the French tradition of the “Galette des rois”? It is a sort of frangipani cake shared with friends and family for the Epiphany! ?
