Gimsøya church standing on the foreshore near Hov on the island of Gimsøya, part of the Lofoten Islands, arctic Norway.

The first record of a church on Gimsøya comes from 1432 when the Norwegian priest Aslak Bolt referred to it in his writings. The present building was constructed in 1876 was built to seat about 300 people. To stop it blowing away in storms, it is held down with four steel cables drilled into the rock.
