Graphic designer and visual artist Geoff McFetridge created this poster in 2015 to advertise the Steppenwolf Theatre Company's production of "Okay, Bye" in Chicago.
The play—written by Joshua Conkel and directed by Margot Bordelon—tells the story of two former high school classmates who unexpectedly meet again in their 30s at Alcoholics Anonymous.
McFetridge’s poster conveys the complexity of their relationship through this simple yet surreal design. With bold colors and simple forms, it's like a visual riddle, where it's hard to discern which legs belong to which shoes.
