Women earned some pretty big—and small—victories in what has been a problematic year in many ways. We’re counting down to 2018 by celebrating some of those major moments: “On January 21, a record 5 million people on all seven continents walked in solidarity at the Women's March, epic protest signs in hand, and listened to women—including Madonna and Janet Mock—advocate for legislation and policies around women's rights, as well as on immigration and healthcare reform, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and racial equality. The movement made history on several levels, though it did have its critics: the now-iconic pink “Pussy Hat” was seen by some as transphobic, while some felt the event itself was an overwhelming display of white privilege. Still, its influence has been pervasive, spawning similar movements like A Day Without a Woman, and the organizers remain stalwarts for fighting for the rights of all females.”—@perriesamotin ??
