Edvard Munch, the subject of The @metbreuer exhibition, “Edvard Munch: Between the Clock and the Bed,” was born this day in 1863. The extreme familiarity of this image today makes it hard to realize how shocking it and other works by Munch were when they were created over a hundred years ago.
