As we are currently staying in Malaysia towards the end of this month, it was our pleasure to be invited to Japan culture day event by JICA alumni Malaysia to show Japanese culture at local elementary school in Kuala Pilah. I demonstrated how to wear traditional costume, Yukata and had small study session to learn how to write Japanese word, Hiragana with Malay translation assist by my husband. This photo was during the Hiragana session and I was impressed by the students there trying to write down the Japanese words. I believe to touch the different culture is the way to widen their view, help to develop personality in the long term also promote mutual understanding. That is why I am passionate to be part of this kind of programs to provide the experiences.
