HIV is still a big problem, not just in other parts of the world, right here in the U.S. On this World AIDS Day, I am using my voice to speak out about stigma. 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 1 in 7 of them don’t know it. Many people are too afraid to get tested because of the unique stigma that surrounds an HIV+ diagnosis. Let’s change this. Let’s not let myths and misinformation about HIV and AIDS prevent us from talking about it and knowing our status.
