Photo by @stephenwilkes. While flying above Lake Bogoria, a volcanic region which is home to one of the world’s largest flamingo populations. Photographing from a helicopter I became mesmerized by the flight patterns on the waters surface that the birds created as propelling themselves into flight. This region in the Rift Valley home to the lesser flamingo, south of the equator has been a protected national Reserve since November 29, 1973.
