A huge honour to receive the Parafed Canterbury Life membership, along with the 2017 Sportsperson of the year award last night. It was quite the surprise receiving the life membership with only a few prestigious members part of the group. Parafed Canterbury is all where it started for me, as a young talent being given the opportunity to compete and potentially wear the silver fern. Now I have and still am travelling the world wearing the silver fern with pride representing my country doing what I love, with a passion to inspire others and grow the Paralympic movement.
