I first met @デイブ・グラハム in south west Utah in 2006, I was a total fan and really psyched to meet him. At a young age Dave was already a legend, a gifted rock climber that was pushing the limits of the sport everywhere he went. We hit it off and it wasn’t long before I was traveling with Dave on trips throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Dave’s personality matches his climbing style, he’s all in, explosively passionate about whatever the objective is, expressive and devoutly determined. This photo here was taken in February of 2007 in Oliana Spain. We spent only a single day here, just passing through as we toured around. While hanging from a rope looking up at the wall Dave said to me in passing “This place is going to be the future of climbing”. He was right, flash forward to present day and Oliana is home to the hardest concentration of routes in the world, it’s iconic. It’s been a few years since I’ve done a trip with Dave and I’m craving another. What do you say Dave, let’s hit it again in 2018!
