The Afar region lies in North Eastern Ethiopia and its the hottest place in the world, making the Afar people the toughest on earth, in my eyes.

Some of the many dangers they face daily are; constant droughts, violent tribal rivalry and the extreme weather conditions with temperatures often reaching 50 degrees Celsius.

For Afar women and young girls, circumcision, early marriage and an exhausting workload are additional burdens in the daily struggle to survive.
