I’m used to being misjudged. I remember back in high school, I dressed in baggy clothes. I also happened to be voted the president of the “math and science institute”, the most competitive program within the school. One day, I was seated in the principal’s office waiting for the monthly meeting between the M+S president and the principal. The principal walks in and first words out of her mouth were “So, what did you do to get detention today?”. Instead of being offended, it excited me that she underestimated me. I don’t know why I felt this way but since then it’s always been a mission for me to overachieve. ???? #noexcuses #hihaters #happy
