So for the first time in my 15 years of NYC living I had a MOUSE IN MY APARTMENT LAST NIGHTTTT. I thought I was hallucinating post dental-surgery meds but then it ran out of my room and I shrieked so loudly and started screaming nononono while fumbling w my cell phone to call for help. I then stood on my couch holding a tennis racket while still screaming as my super checked around and then duct taped over a hole. It was some real Looney Tunes elephant-lifting-skirt-on-chair shit and only two neighbors peeked their heads in to check (comforting.) Annnnnyway all this to say I’m waiting for the pest control people as we speak and texted my mom that they’re coming over “to stuff every hole in the apartment” to which she replied that I should probably leave “just in case ?” if you’re wondering whom I come from. Then she texted me this pic. In short: SHOULD I GET POISON OR A CAT?!!? Cat? Is it time? Would you catsit for me during one of my trademarked jaunts? Yours, mousily, Mich ?☠️
