In #CharlesWillsonPeale's Philadelphia museum, this painting was hung behind a curtain with the warning: "Before you draw this curtain Consider whether you will afflict a Mother or Father who has lost a Child." In "The Art of the Peales," a curtain has been installed to suggest this historic installation.
