In a horrendous decision today, the Trump administration rolled back the Affordable Care Act requirement that all employers offer insurance plans that cover contraception. Let's be absolutely clear. This is nothing less than sexism. It is an assault on women’s health and the latest display of Republicans’ total disdain for women’s ability to control their own bodies and lives. President Trump has repeatedly demonstrated how little respect he has for women. This is just more of the same. We cannot go back to the days when women did not have full access to birth control because of their income status. The decision to use contraception is one for women and their doctors to make, not their employers. Despite the administration’s destructive efforts, we will not stop fighting for women’s rights and full reproductive justice.
