I am so unbelievably grateful to the folks at the @stlzoo for showing us behind-the-scenes at their wonderful zoo. They do so much to preserve species and educate the public - it's one of the greatest points of pride of my hometown. I can attribute most of my love of animals to two things: 1) My wonderful dog Shawnee, who I was raised with as a baby and who treated me as one of her own, and 2) Frequent trips to the #StLouisZoo - one of the only free zoos in the country - where I fell in love with giraffes and elephants and echidnas and tapirs and so many other species, and became inspired to do my part to help their continued existence on this planet.
